August....

Well, well, well look who's going on 3 months behind! .... I have a really good excuse thou! Yep, I'm 3 months prego :) Due in April :) :) .... August was great, we took a trip to Co and SD.... Rosie did awesome with all that driving (Papa got us to Co in 2 days -eeck) .... this is Rosie's first AM on the road ... in a beautiful KOA (well desert, rock parking lot beautiful) somewhere in Nevada....

this was like 7am and it was already 85 .... so loving our new truck (and the AC!!)

We drove straight to Boulder, Co to visit our good friends Adrian and Dana .... had a blast breaking all the HOA rules and camping out front of their condo, extension cord from their second story deck down and all! They were quite gracious to have us as Dana was Due very very soon (Caleb came just 2 weeks after we left)! Rosie and Dana here cooling off ....

Next we drove over to Steamboat Springs, Co to meet up with my family ....

Some cute pics of Rosie, Papa and campy ...

And i even made it in this one .... but i am natorious for never geting anyone esle in pics!

And no exception here!

This was our gourgious camping spot in Stagecoach .... recomended to us by Joey and Kat .... we stayed out here with Grandma and Grandpa Flett

who were camped just across this meadow ..... (funny when we pick our sites, months earlier, on the map they looked right next to each other!)

We spent everyday back in town with the rest of the fam ..... this is a pic of the infamous dinner out with Trina and Lonny ... the night was a blast with many memorable moments including not actually eating dinner till 11pm! Rosie did great, the drinks ended up being free and the company was the best, what more could you ask for!

Rosie looking cute as ever at the beach...

yep still cute...

Now here we miss a whole week of pictures ... mostly because i didn't take any ... but after Steamboat Springs we headed to Avon to spend a week with Joey and Kat and his parents who flew out to meet us all .... we had an awesome week visiting with Granny and Grand Papa and loved getting to see a bit into Joe and Kat's lives...

From Avon we made a bee line for the coast .... a yummy stop here for some peaches ...

Rosie's a big fan ...

This was the key to our driving, cross country with a toddler, success ..... yes, it's a Mc Donald's!! (while I think we hit at least 7 Micky D's along our drive we actually successfully never actually had to eat their food)

Rosie hangin out in Campy...

Isn't this just the definition of camping?!?

We made it to SD and scored 10 nights at San Elijo State Beach (in Cardiff by the Sea) .... we were in heaven ...

We both got to surf everyday, rode our bikes everywhere ...(including to hang with the Massie's at their condo just down the way) and Rosie got to play at the beach all day long ...

so fun!

We got to hang with Brody (and his mama and baby sis too!) again ...

We then headed north ... hit Gigi and john in O'side .... what a dreamy house they have! Stopped off in SB to have dinner with Hawk, Tish and Cloie, and of course hit the Rock and

then up to Paso to hang with the Buchanans ....

Rosie and Ella on a wagon ride ...

what a set of cuties .... and then we finally headed home ... after 31 days on the road!

And then ....well, Sept came and then it went.... I don't remember much... just a classic 1st trimester of major nausea and exhaustion ...Oct seems to be drifting by just as fast and i don't exactly know where the camera is .... but I've managed to keep Rosie and Tom fed (well many be that was the other way around!) and we are now 15 weeks along and starting feeling better so maybe there's hope to finding the camera!

  1. What a fun trip! 31 days on the road...with a toddler...I am super impressed! Sad we missed you while you were in SD, but know we'll see you soon! Congrats on the pregnancy (& on the feeling better part). I'm pregnant too & due in February. Crazy! So I am currently in the energy filled, feeling good, nesting state. Only to last a little bit longer until I am back in the tired & feeling uncomfortable state. Hope you guys are enjoying October. Good luck finding that camera! Love ya girl!
