(sept-oct) Once we got back to CA it was time for business. Tom and I headed right up to Truckee to work on getting our house rented. We ended up doing a lot of work to it... painting, cleaning, refinished the driveway, hardwood floor and deck and made this really awkward room into 2 rooms. It has been a ton of work and left us with no down time in 2 months but worth it as we have just signed a new years lease and are looking forward to our new tenets moving in Nov 1st. We also really enjoyed spending time up in Truckee and reconnecting with our community up there.
As for work, Tom has embarked on a new house project with my dad. They are doing a low end flip in Martinez. It's a cute little house that just needs a face lift and a hair cut. Tom's enjoying the project although dealing with 2 houses (the flip and our Truckee house) is too much ... befor last weekends camp out Tom had worked something like 40 days in a row .... with all that driving in between! On the bright side we have been able to do all this together as I am now a full time house wife/mom-to-be and loving taking care of my husband 100%
