Ya! We just had the best week! Motivated by a joking bet our good friends Mike and Janie came all the way to Ecuador to visit us! They left the kids in Arkansas with Grandma and Grandpa for the week and made the trek. The week started with Tom and I driving to Guayaquil and spending the day at the Mall while the truck got a tune up ... and then picking Mike and Janie up at 11 pm and making the 2 1/2 hour drive to the coast..... we decided that 11 pm was a lovely time to drive ... think we only saw like 2 cars the whole way!
We were able to rent the house next door for them (a house with hot water! oh what a week!) We had a great time talking, surfing, eating and drinking mojitos all week!
