The whole missing our flight part put a blip in the blog.... here's some lovely shots of us waiting at the airport hoping to make it on a flight...day 1, day 2 am missing the 3rd flight along with 12 other standbys and final pic of Tom and our new Cuban buddy's (who had been waiting 5 days to leave... they were hard core and were actually staying day and night at the airport) when we found out that we had all made it on the afternoon flight! (Copa "steped up to the plate" as my sister said, and brought in a bigger plane to get all the standbys out of Ecuador! and just in time for our sake so we were able to make our flight to WI the following day)
In hind sight I would definitely suggest clarifying flight times with a spouse ... or i don't know PRINT OUT YOUR TICKET but on the bright side Tom and I had 2 more days immersed in Spanish and it ended up being a lovely complement to how far we have come with it.
