Our Teachers....

This is a pic of our two teachers we have had for the last 4 weeks. Erica (sitting right next to me) has been our grammar teacher. She is 23 years old and has one more year of collage until she will have her teacher credential to teach grade school here in Ecuador. She is saving $ for her last year. She just told us last week that she is pregnant with her boyfriend. Nancy is older.... we are guessing in her late 30´s possibly early 40´s....she is our conversation teacher. She has been a teacher for many years and is really great and organized. We really like both our teachers. Our school set up has changed a bit now that Jon has abandoned us for New York and Tom is now in a privet class. I now take my group lessons with Victor (from Sweden) (ya he´s working on his 3rd language). He has been here for the same amount of time as we have and is staying just as long ....... so i think it will be the two of us for the rest of my time at the school. Class is much different with out Tom and Jon....no more jokes and laughing....I miss it but i am also enjoying getting even more serious about my Spanish. This week I am starting to really be able to understand, i am actually picking out more words i know than words i don´t know and put together what people are saying ..... i´m pretty excited about it although i find myself frustrated when i can´t say what i want to in the conversation and have to dull down my responses...... confining it to words i know.
Tom is really enjoying his privet lessons. He is starting to have much more confidence trying out his Spanish around town and with our friends. And of course he has no other choice but to practice up at the job site!!
