So, yes it's true we are headed to Ecuador for just under three months. Tom likes to froth the roomers that this spontaneous trip is the result of leaving Shannon home alone unsupervised but that's really only mostly true. There are two main motivating factors for the trip. One is to attempt to learn some Spanish and the second ...... uh surf? We knew that Shannon's contract for her project at work was up Dec. 31st and Tom is conveniently between projects so the timing was a no brainer. After a day of googling back in Sept. Shannon found a Spanish School in Montanita, Ecuador that fit the criteria.....located in front of a super fun wave! So we have signed our selves up for 6 weeks of classes (4 hours/day, 5 days/week) and checked our selves into a cute little cabina. The plan is to surf, study, sleep, eat, surf more and of course dance salsa!
