Monday night Tom, myself and our friend Sarah decided to cook a big dinner for everyone in the Cabinas as to celebrate Sarah finally moving in.....long story but where we are staying is quite popular and not all the students get to stay there ... thus Sarah was really happy to make the cut after a week of being here! We called it a house warming party and cooked mexican food with Ecuadorian ingreediants.....we made crapes to serve as tortias... and cooked eggs as the meat....other than those creative alternatives the dinner mostly seemed mexican .... it only took us 5 stores to find everything we needed! ha .... there are no supermarkets here .... not even close ....more like you walk into someones house they have turned into a store and buy what they have for sale. We still have not found where to buy meat. The fruits and vegies on the other hand are awsome! tons, fresh and cheap! We got all our veggies to feed 16 people for $4. Dinner was a success and we followed it up with some Salsa dancing ..... the school does a free lesson on monday nights....the style is a bit different down here....but i was able to dance with the Ecuadorian teacher just fine....everyone was impressed with our dancing skills ... ha ha .... thanks to our classes back home!
The 3rd pic is from the bridge we cross everyday to get to town......
